we actually can do it (its gonna be close). I'll work on getting scotty's dps up. There is something wrong with his rotation. Look at his activity, it is lower than everyone else's in the raid. Doubling his dps will surely help. Other than that, when our raiders get more comfortable with the fight you'll see the dps increase anyways.

Then the people who are lower on DPS need to have priority on gear. We can try it, but I'm telling you, until chicken and I get at least 2 or 3 more heroic pieces I don't think it is possible.

Icy Veins Tips:

2 heals, 2 tanks, 6 dps

"Your raid should stack close to the base of the stairs and not next to the boss. This will not trigger Twilight Burst as Ultraxion has a massive hitbox. Such a position will ensure that the healers spend as little time as possible getting to the crystals for receiving their buff. Stacking makes AoE healing most efficient and no one in the raid (except the healers once per fight) should ever have to move."

Soaking methods:

Tank death knights - Vampiric Blood, Anti-Magic Shell, Icebound Fortitude, and Bone Shield
Tank druids - Survival Instincts, Barkskin, and Frenzied Regeneration
Tank paladins - Ardent Defender, Guardian of Ancient Kings, or Divine Protection (even better if glyphed)
Tank warriors - Shield Wall or Last Stand

Non-tank death knights - Anti-Magic Shell and Icebound Fortitude (or Anti-Magic Zone for Unholy)
Non-tank druids - Survival Instincts and Barkskin
Non-tank paladins - Divine Protection or Divine Shield
Non-tank warriors - Shield Wall

Shadow priests - Dispersion
Ice mage - Ice Block
Fire mage - Cauterize
Hunters - Deterrence
Rogues - Feint/Cloak of Shadows
Holy priest - Guardian Spirit on other

Plate DPS with Pain Suppression (Priest Talent) cast on them.
Power Word: Shield (Holy Priest spell) will help anyone soaking.

Red buff (in order) - Resto druid, Disc priest, Resto shaman, Holy priest
Green buff - HoT heavy healers, "anyone who isn't taking red or blue" - lol
Blue buff (in order) - Holy paladin, everyone else

Everyone should wait as late as they are comfortable to use heroic will during hour of twilight (in order to maximize dps/hps).

Using heroism/time warp/bloodlust

Option 1 - right off the bat
This ensures that all of your DPS are alive to benefit from it. Further justifies the use of a 2 heal - 6 dps setup. More dps = shorter fight = less damage = less healing needed

Option 2 - DPS up front, heals at the end
Healers press buttons right off the bat. Tanks/DPS hero. Hero for healers towards the end of the fight (tanks/dps on cd).

Disc Priest Healing
Disc priest healer should be talented into Atonement. For the first 3:30, do dps with Smite and Holy Fire. At 3:30, take blue and switch to healing. This allows for increased dps at the beginning and increased healing at the end.

Last Defender of Azeroth Trick
"It is worth noting that, when Thrall casts Last Defender of Azeroth Icon Last Defender of Azeroth on the tanks, the cooldowns of their defensive abilities are instantly reset. This means that tanks can use their cooldowns right at the start of the encounter and then have them available again shortly after."

3 most important aspects of this fight:
1. Properly assigning healing buffs and they know how to use them.
2. Use Heroic Will correctly. Every. Time.
3. Make proper soaking assignments and execute flawlessly.
After this, it's a DPS race.

"The most difficult aspect of this heroic mode is beating the enrage timer. With a bit of preparation, soaking Hour of Twilight and handling the other mechanics of the encounter will not be problematic. Most of your raid's wipes will, undoubtedly, come from insufficient DPS (and will most likely happen at agonizingly low percentages).

For this reason, you will want to bring the bare minimum amount of healers (2 in 10-man and 5 in 25-man), and have these healers contribute as much as possible to the raid DPS, at the start of the fight. Discipline Priests are especially useful here, as they can bring a solid amount of damage.

Other than this, your raid will simply have to utilise every possible advantage available to them, and may need to farm the previous bosses repeatedly to acquire enough gear."
