Gametype: Regular/Hardcore
Map: Any
Strategy: Roam. When you get a kill, place a claymore in a spot where it is likely to get a kill. Use the TAR-21 like an SMG, in close quarters hip firing is effective. Close to medium range is best, but you can burst fire for longer shots.

Attachment(s): Extended Mags or grip
Equipment: Semtex
Special: Stun
Perk 1: Marathon Pro
Perk 2: Lightweight Pro, Coldblooded Pro, Stopping Power Pro (will explain below)
Perk 3: Ninja Pro
Deathstreak: Painkiller, or any one you want.
Killstreak: UAV, Counter UAV, Harrier strike (dont have to follow this, this is just my setup)

Gametype: Regular/Hardcore/Free for all
Map: Any
Strategy: This is a variant that I use of Whals' UMP set up and is using the same run-and-gun strategy. Since the P90 is one of the weakest guns, ammo does get burned a little but its large basic clip size neglects that problem along with it shooting faster than the UMP. Stopping Power is recommended if your going to be patrolling an area since it will reduce how many bullets you need. Light weight for flanking and coldblooded, for me at least, in hard core to keep them guessing if you'er on their team or not and off their radars.

Gametype: Objective-based (HQ, Dom, Dem, Sab)
Map: All
Strategy: This build is essentially mobile artillery. 5 explosives + scavenger. Excellent for defending. Unstoppable with Danger Close. Strategy? Shoot in the general direction of objective, scavenge, repeat.

Perk 3: Ninja Pro
Deathstreak: Painkiller
Killstreak: UAV, Predator Missile, Harrier Strike (Harrier Strike, Chopper Gunner, Nuclear Missile if you are going for a nuke)

Gametype: Regular/Hardcore
Map: Any
Strategy: Run & gun. Keep sprinting away and never stay in the same spot for more than a few seconds. Try to cut off the enemy as they are going for the objective and give cover fire for your team. When in a building or in an area where you are close to your enemy, take out the auto shotty and be prepared to use it. Drop to the ground if you were spotted before you spotted them and figure out where they are to shoot them.

Gametype: Hardcore (TDM preferred)
Map: High Rise, Favela, Quarry, Salvage, Vacant (on 360 only atm)
Strategy: Rushing and close quarters. Moving constantly is going to be your friend. The shotgun attachment is for the quick draw to get close range opponents in 1-3 shots. The Spas 12 has the better range of the 2 shot guns and a better chance to 1 hit kill.

Modern Warfare 2 Test Build Week 1




So I got this bright idea today to feature a user-submitted loadout each week for everyone to try out and submit their feedback. I'll do the first one, but I'll be asking other people throughout the week for their ideas. It doesn't even have to be a good build. It could be totally random. There's only 1 rule: You have to try the build after the time of the news post before commenting. I'll set the format here.

Primary Weapon: FAL
Attachment(s): Silencer, ACOG
Secondary Weapon: Striker
Attachment(s): Grip, FMJ
Equipment: Claymore
Special: Stun or Flash
Perk 1: Bling Pro
Perk 2: Cold-Blodded Pro
Perk 3: Ninja Pro
Deathstreak: Final Stand (optional)
Killstreak: Predator, Harrier Strike, Chopper Gunner

Gametype: Hardcore (TDM preferred)
Map: Any (especially Terminal, Skidrow, Favela, Highrise, Quarry, Sub Base) Click maps to see locations RED=PLAYER BLUE=CLAYMORE S=STAND C=CROUCH P=PRONE

Strategy: CAMP!!! Go to one of the locations marked on the maps. Always put a claymore behind you. Limit your enemies to two points of entry: 1. in front of you 2. behind you. Behind you will be covered by claymore. In front of you will be covered by FAL. Maximize view while minimizing your profile. Always switch to shotgun if enemies are close by. You can spray fairly accurately with the FAL but the striker is preferred. Use killstreaks quickly. If you fear being over-run, switch to striker and run away. Protect your killstreaks.
